Differential shaft technology

The Machine:
Pelican's range of converting machinery is designed and developed to achieve high standards in flexible packaging. It's state-of-the art techno-logy offers freedom to carry out even difficult jobs.

Salient Features:
Carefully and methodically machined Strong and sturdy heavy duty main steel frame structure to maintain accuracy over long dependable life. Distinguish designed structure mounted on heavy iron base, ensures stability and vibration free operation.

Control system: The machine is controlled-supervised by the master PLC and colored touch screen operator interface. Desired motion-tension control is achieved by using four drive control system consists of latest generation of closed loop AC Frequency drive at (1) Unwind Unit (2) Draw Unit (3) Upper Rewind (4) Lower Rewind

Unwind unit: Load cell or dancer based web tension control system consists of vector control AC frequency drive and motor, ensures constant tension through out the reel run.

Draw unit: Draw unit consist of chromium plated or cork coated steel roller, driven by AC main motor to isolate the tension between unwind and rewind sections.

Automatic web tension control system on Upper and lower rewind: Each rewind unit consists of vector control AC frequency drive and motor. The desired tension is achieved by using differential winding system which ensures tension through out the reel run.

Each rewinding sections consists of high performance differential winding system utilizing 'Ball locks' units.

Integral shafted unwind stand consist of Hydraulic operated reel lifting
system from floor level to working position.

Master electrical and pneumatic control panel mainly consists of full
colored graphic touch screen operator interface located at rewind side
facilitates easy operation.

Electro-electric line/edge guiding system mainly consists of true color line
sensor, PMDC motor, etc. Airshaft and set of safety chuck are provided
on unwind.

Pneumatically operated rewind shaft holding arm for quick unloading of
slitted reels from differential rewind shaft.

Razor blade holders with driven grooved roller (pitch 2 mm).

High efficient trim balancer with square pipe to collect the trim.
